The 43rd Rowbotham’s Round Rotherham takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026 from the Manvers Waterfront Boat Club, Wath upon Dearne, South Yorkshire, S63 7DG.
Two ways to race
🏃 Individual (Solo)
Run or walk the full 50-mile route unsupported (except at checkpoints). You choose your own start time within the permitted window and run your own race.
- Minimum age: 20 years on race day
- Start bands: Slower walkers (4:00 AM) · Walkers/Joggers (6:00 AM) · Runners (7:00 AM)
- Time limit: 20 hours (Finish line closes 23:59)
- Entry fee: £30 (Affiliated) · £32 (Unaffiliated)
👥 Relay (Teams of 2–8)
Split the 50 miles between 2 to 8 runners, with changeovers at the eight manned checkpoints. All relay teams start at 8:00 AM (mass start).
- Teams: 2–8 runners; one runner per stage
- Mass start: 8:00 AM
- Team entry fee: £32 (+£2 per unaffiliated runner)
- Route: 8 stages ranging from 9 km to 16 km
Entry rules & requirements
- No entries on the day — entries close 27 September 2026
- No refunds or deferrals once entered
- Mandatory: All competitors must carry a charged mobile phone
- Recommended: Download the What3Words app for emergencies
- No dogs on course
- Campervans and motorhomes may park overnight in the car park
