The 43rd Rowbotham’s Round Rotherham takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026 from the Manvers Waterfront Boat Club, Wath upon Dearne, South Yorkshire, S63 7DG.

LDWA qualification note: The Round Rotherham is valid as a qualifying event for the LDWA 100.
Entering via Fabian4

Entries are processed through Fabian4, which can be a little unfamiliar if you haven’t used it before. A few tips:

  • You will need to create a Fabian4 account if you don’t already have one.
  • Affiliated runners: enter your club exactly as it appears on your England Athletics registration to receive the affiliated rate.
  • Relay teams: one person enters as team captain and pays the team fee; individual runners are then added from within the entry.
  • You will receive a confirmation email — check your spam folder if it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes.

Two ways to race

Individual (Solo)

Run or walk the full 50-mile route unsupported (except at checkpoints). You choose your own start time within the permitted window and run your own race.

  • Minimum age: 20 years on race day
  • Time limit: Up to 20 hours (Finish line closes at 23:59. Your total allowed race time depends on your chosen start time).
  • Start band recommendations:
    • Slower walkers (4:00 AM). Anticipated 16 to 20 hours.
    • Walkers/Joggers (6:00 AM). Anticipated 12 to 16 hours.
    • Runners (7:00 AM). Anticipated under 12 hours.
    • Do not start earlier than your band as checkpoints will not be open, and you will be asked to wait. Runners starting too early are most likely to arrive at Treeton (CP2) before it opens.
  • Entry fee: £30 (Affiliated) — £32 (Unaffiliated)
  • Mandatory kit: Charged mobile phone
Enter Individual

Relay (Teams of 2–8)

Split the 50 miles between 2 to 8 runners, with changeovers at the eight manned checkpoints. All relay teams start at 8:00 AM (mass start).

      Categories:
    • Female Team: Must be 100% women runners.
    • Mixed Team: Must have women runners cover at least 27km of the total race distance; otherwise, the team defaults to an Open Team.
    • Open Team: Any team combination (including all-male).
  • Teams: 2–8 runners; one runner per stage. Team members must change at each checkpoint (No consecutive legs).
  • Mass start: 8:00 AM
  • Team entry fee: £32 (+£2 per unaffiliated runner)
  • Mobile phone: Not mandatory for relay runners, but strongly recommended

Entry rules & requirements

  • No entries on the day — entries close 27 September 2026
  • The standard cancellation windows are as follows:
  • Up to Early August (60 days in advance): 100% of the entry fee and any add-ons (like T-shirts) are refunded, minus the Fabian4 processing charge (which is usually around £3).
  • Up to Mid-September (approx. 2–3 weeks before the race): 50% of the entry fee and 100% of add-ons are refunded, minus the Fabian4 processing charge. This is the cutoff point where the organisers have to submit final orders for merchandise.
  • After Mid-September: No refunds are possible after this date as the event has committed costs.
  • No deferrals permitted.
